This is an antique childrens book titled Fireside Stories by Madeline Barnes with illustrations by renowned Scottish illustrator Anne Anderson. There are eight full page coloured illustrations and the book consists of 96 pages - there are nine different stories. The book is in excellent condition with only a bit of wear to the bottom front cover (see second to last photo) and a tiny edge dent at the top - otherwise, this book is very clean, The book was presented as a prize to a student in 1935 for reading. My understanding is that this book, although unstated, was originally published in 1922, so I dont know if it is a later printing or if it was simply an old book at the time of giving. In any case, this is a very nice copy of this childrens book - wonderful coloured illustrations!
